Healthy Food Guide teams with BUPA
Healthy Life Media's Healthy Food Guide magazine has partnered with health care fund BUPA to create a 48 page mini-magazine distributed with BUPA's member magazine Shine. A member deal offers BUPA members 10% off HFG subscriptions. An email will be sent to 300,000 BUPA members inviting them to download an online version free from the BUPA website.

Nine Network appoints director of news and current affairs
Nine Network has appointed Sydney news director Darren Wick as director of news and current affairs. Wick has been with the company for 16 years in various roles such as executive producer on A Current Affair and Today Show. Prior to joining Nine, Wick began his career at News Limited as a journalist on The Daily Mirror followed by a stint in the UK working in television news and current affairs.

Sweetbox TV livens visual experience
A new creative studio called Sweetbox TV will be launched by creative entrepreneur Tom Haramis and former MTV director Johan Polhem. Sweetbox TV offers post production, creative design and direction as part of the services mix. The team includes 15 staff based in Sydney who can draw on the expertise of skilled creatives from across the globe due to a partnership with Dubai-based production studio Muddville.

Doodle Jump appoints FME for worldwide licensing
FreemantleMedia Enterprises has made a deal with independent app developer Lima Sky to represent the worldwide licensing rights for the popular iPhone app Doodle Jump. This new deal is part of FME’s plan to work with new and established non-TV brands across the world and adds to FME's portfolio of innovative licensing properties in Australia.

Twitter to break 500m mark
Social media giant Twitter is expected to break the 500 million worldwide user mark this week, according to overseas reports. Twitter was founded in 2006.
