Seek Limited has reported net profit after tax of $60.6 million for the six months to 31 December 2011, up 27% on the previous corresponding period.
The company reported a revenue lift of 31%, to $208.1 million.
Seek chief executive Andrew Bassat said, “Seek remains the clear market leader of choice for job seekers in the domestic online employment classifieds market with 14.7 million visits in January 2012.
“Over the last six months, Seek's employment business achieved strong earnings growth of 20% despite considerable global financial instability and rising unemployment rates.”
In terms of the company's outlook, Bassat said he expects continued growth, and that revenue and earnings to 30 June 2012 should be stronger than the second half of the 2011 financial year.
